Temple of Faith Church of God in Christ is currently located at 1550 Glenwood Ave in Atlanta. This edifice is the fruitful vision given to Elder Thomas L Frazier by God. This is not the original church in which this ministry began, in September 1974 God called Elder Frazier and his family out of Jones Avenue Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop George Briley. The first mission was a tent set up in the yard of the late Mother Phennesee. This mission was called "Ellenwood Mission Church of God in Christ." God truly blessed the birth of this mission and many souls where saved. When the weather turned cold Mother See as she was affectionately called, opened her home to the young mission, there they stayed until God called Mother See home to be with him.

Elder Frazier desired to stay in the Ellenwood area, they began to pray and search for a suitable location. While riding along a street they traveled often to Mother See's home, Sister Frazier spotted a little empty house, after finding out the owner lived next door he agreed to rent it for $40.00 a month. The little house had no indoor plumbing or utilities. Believing in God, Elder Frazier and the brothers worked hard to prepare the little house. The little house became the second home of the mission, they began to have church. There they worshipped at the little house for approximately one year when it was learned that Elder Frazier would have to be hospitalized and undergo surgery.

At that time, First Lady Tollia B. Frazier, along with Elder and Sister Sessions, carried on the services. It was learned that Elder Frazier had to have a second operation, the members continued to fast, pray and continue with the work of the Lord. Shortly afterwards God blessed Elder Frazier to return to his flock. On July 4, 1975, tragedy struck, someone set the little mission on fire. The little mission was without a home again.

One day the Lord spoke to Sister Frazier while she was driving on the expressway, he instructed her to get off at Moreland Ave . Sister Frazier obeyed the directions the Lord sent her to Flatshoals Road where she spotted a vacant building. She began to thank the lord, she rushed home exited to share the "Good News" with Elder Frazier. After investigations were made, they were able to rent the building for 150.00 a per month, the mission had a new home! On October 14.1976 the move was made to 1580 Flatshoals Road. God shined upon this mission, the membership increased, he poured out his blessing. Soon the congregation recognized the need for a larger and more suitable place of worship.

One day while riding down Glenwood Avenue, ElderFraziers notice an empty lot on the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Pasley Street. As Elder Frazier got out of the car, the Lord spoke to him and said "This is the place build here! Elder Frazier looked down on the ground and saw a buffalo-head nickel. Again, the Lord spoke to him and said, "I've given you a lot and your first piece of money. Elder Frazier shared this with Sister Frazier she encouraged him with these words, "If the Lord said so, it is done. The members and the Frazier family prepared to build a new structure, they put money down on the lot, and bought building materials, and began the process of building the Lord's house.

On September 28.1980, after having closed service at 1580 Flatshoals Road, the congregation of the Ellenwood Mission COGIC car pooled to their new church home, TEMPLE OF FAITH CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, 1550 Glenwood Avenue, S.E. Atlanta, GA Elder Frazier presided over the entrance day service.

God has continued to bless, in this new edifice, membership has continued to increase soul are being saved, bodies healed and the power of the Holy Ghost is felt in each service. There are several outreach ministries at the Temple and increasing as God gives the vision. Within a few years the membership out grew this sanctuary an extention was added to assist with the growth. The church was extended, classrooms were added, a choir room, offices, and a fellowship hall. Additional property was purchased to accommodate parking.

In 1992, our beloved first lady Frazier was stricken with a deadly illness Leukemia. She listened to the news from her doctors, and insisted that by his stripes, I, AM! God honored Sister Frazier's declaration, he completely healed her body. Lord we thank you for your healing power. To this day Sister Frazier proclaims the healing power in the name of Jesus.

God continues to bless the work of this ministry, the church has acquired the surrounding properties, and several vans to assist with the outreach ministries. Although the road has not always been easy, Elder Frazier has always followed the leading of the Lord and been blessed, keeping in mind the proficencey given to Bishop Mason. "Though his obedience there will never be a place big enough to hold the saints." True to his word, the mission has out grown it's current locate and building a new edifice at the intersection of Panola Road and Covington Hwy. "The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad!
